India’s Covid-19 tally up by 37,148 in past 24 hours; 11,55,191 cases so far, death toll crosses 28,000

There has been a rise of 37,148  Covid-19 cases and 587 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the overall contractions past the 11.5 lakh mark.

A spike of over 37,000 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, on Tuesday, in India. A day after recording the highest single-day spike of 40,425 infections on July 20. While the country is still a month away from reaching its peak in Covid-19 cases, the pandemic continues to rage through the 1.35 crore population of India.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there has been a rise of 37,148 cases and 587 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the overall contractions past the 11.5 lakh mark.

“A total of 11,55,191 positive cases have so far been reported in the country, including 4,02,529 active cases, 7,24,578 who have been cured/discharged and 28,084 deaths,” The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.
