The Supreme Court asked the Centre to be prepared for the third wave of corona. It asked the Centre to increase the number of Health personnel to meet the upsurge of corona during the third wave.
The Supreme Court asked the Centre to be well prepared for the third wave of Corona. Experts said that the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is inevitable.
A Bench consisting of Justice DY Chandrachud and MR Shah stressed that the younger generation should be vaccinated as soon as possible so that families are not affected.
“The third wave of corona surge in India which is around the corner according to experts will affect children. So when a child goes to a hospital, the parents will also have to go. That is why vaccination will have to be over for this group pf people. We need to plan for this in a scientific way and make arrangement” the court quoted.
If we prepare today we may be able to handle it,” the Court added.
The Court asked the Centre to find ways and means to tackle the third wave of corona. It asked the Centre to increase the number of healthcare personnel. It also directed the Centre to utilize the services of doctors who just completed their MBBS and are waiting to enroll for PG courses.
“Today we have 1.5 lakh doctors who have finished medical course but waiting for NEET exam. How do you tap them? 1.5 lakh doctors and 2.5 lakh nurses are siting at home. Their help will be crucial for the Third wave” Justice Chandrachud said.
