The second wave of coronavirus has started in 57 countries including America, Brazil, France, Russia.
India ranks second in the list of 220 countries and islands in the world as most affected by pandemic. More than 1 Crore people have been affected by Covid-19 in India. US has topped the number of Covid-19 cases in the world. They were cases growing rapidly in US and very soon reached 1 crore in the fastest 290 days here.
Though, India has come to the second-highest number of people infected in the world. India is in a better position than many countries. The number of active cases in India are now 3.05 lakh. The infected patients are being treated in hospitals or in home isolation. 95.41% of the infected have recovered from the infection, while 1.45% of the patients have succumbed due to infection.
There are 20 million active patients worldwide. Maximum 6 million are in the US, 21 lakh in France, 7 lakh in Brazil, 6.67 lakh in Italy, 5.51 lakh in Belgium, 5.09 lakh in Russia, 3.68 lakh in Ukraine, 3.35 lakh in Germany and 3.05 lakh active patients are in India.
In terms of recovery, India ranks first among the top-5 infected countries in the world . So far, 95.41% people have been cured. 87% in Brazil, 79.6% in Russia, 58.4% in the US have recovered from the disease. The worst situation is that of France. So far, only 7.5% of patients have been cured.
