India sees yet another record-breaking spike in COVID-19 cases

Maharashtra is the worst-affected state in the country with nearly 2,38,461 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and around 9,893 virus-related deaths so far.

Tamil Nadu accounted for 3680 new cases and Delhi for 2089 fresh cases followed by West Bengal with 1198 new cases.

India recorded yet another record-breaking single-day spike in coronavirus cases, with 27,114 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, on Saturday. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country confirmed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,has now risen to 8,20,916.

Apart from the staggering number of fresh cases, as many as 519 new deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours, taking the virus-related death toll in the country to 22,123.

According to the latest health bulletin by the Health Ministry, around 5,15,385 COVID patients have been successfully cured so far while one corona case has been migrated from the country.

The total number of active cases in India currently stands at 2,83,407.
