Plasma Therapy may not be effective on Corona patients. In a recent research, experts feel that Plasma therapy can be removed from the clinical protocol. According to the recent observations, this therapy is not that effective.

The National Task force of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), held a meeting on Friday. Subsequently, the experts spoke about their concern about the effectiveness of Plasma therapy. They will come to a conclusion soon. Moreover,  ICMR is going to issue an advisory on this soon.

In the first wave of corona virus, experts felt that plasma therapy would be effective for corona patients. Now in the second wave, they are not happy with the results. However, they are concerned about the effectiveness of Plasma therapy.

ICMR claims that the Plasma therapy had not helped in reducing corona related deaths. However, plasma therapy is most sought after treatment today.

Chief Ministers and officials are requesting people to donate plasma. These requests are increasing the popularity of the treatment. This treatment became the most sought after treatment.

What is Plasma Therapy?

Plasma Therapy is a procedure in which blood is taken form the body of a person recovered from an infection. The yellow liquid part of the blood is extracted. It is sent into the body of the infected patient.

The idea behind this is that the person who coped from the infection will have anti bodies in him. These antibodies will enter into the infected person. Consequently, these anti bodies in turn will strengthen the immune system of the infected person. Thus, helps in saving lives.
