On Tuesday, a 27-year-old girl student from Hyderabad was brutally killed in London, UK. The victim was identified as Tejaswini Reddy. She is from Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.
The London Metropolitan Police said the incident took place on June 13. London ambulance service got a call that two girls were lying in a pool of blood after they were stabbed immediately, local police reached the spot.
Two Telugu girls were brutally stabbed, resulting in the death of Tejaswini Reddy. Meanwhile, her friend Akhila sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment, as confirmed by the UK Metropolitan Police.
Tejaswini Reddy is studying for her Masters’s in London. She lives there with her friends in the apartment. A young man from Brazil lives in the opposite flat where Tejaswini stays. Later the young man attacked both of them with a knife. Tejaswini died on the spot. Her friend Akhil was seriously injured and battling for life in a London hospital. Tejaswini’s parents were shocked as soon as they came to know about the incident.
Family members of Tejawini are asking the government to help bring the body of Tejaswini to India. The police have registered a case and are investigating the accused. More details are awaited.
