Hyderabad: Gym owner, aide held for selling Steroids, Injections

On Wednesday, the Cyberabad police arrested a gym owner and a cab driver for allegedly selling injections and steroids in Hyderabad. The police raided the gym and seized injections and steroids from the accused worth 10 lakhs. 

According to news reports, the accused, Ahmed bin Abdul Qader, hails from Chandryagutta, and Mohammed Ibrahim (cab driver). Both procured drugs worth 10 lakhs for Rs. 300/- per vial.

Ahmed has been running a gym, Al Nahdi Fitness Club for more than a year. However, he was unhappy with the way the gym flourished. According to Ahmed, he couldn’t withstand the losses and hence took this extreme decision. 

He conspired to earn money by procuring steroids and hormones and selling those to people at higher prices. A cab driver, Ibrahim, helped Ahmed in peddling the drugs.

The police booked both the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Physiotrophic Substances Act, of 1985. Further investigation is in progress…
