’Saffronisation of Education’ denotes to bring in change in the education just because of their trivial beliefs. Most of them who are talking about Hindutva believe that their rightful culture was denied earlier. Apparently, fascists feel that there is a cultural crisis.

Little do they understand that their selfish motives would destroy the minds of a few generations. They are stern about removing a few topics in the textbooks being used in the schools.

Great educationists like Macaulay and many more had developed the educational structure.  Most of the schools use globally. However, people in India, especially the fascists, feel that their culture is in crisis as westerners gave it.

Recently in Karnataka, there were allegations against the BJP government. It is alleged that they included a lesson on RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar‘s speech in the school books. Furthermore, it is alleged that chapters on freedom fighters, social reformers and literary figures were omitted.

However, the government denied all the allegations and disbanded the review and text book committee. This move was taken after many seers and authors raised objections to the content of the text book committee.

Educationists and the members of the NCERT feel that the elements in the text books are taken in a broader perspective. However, the recent trend of changing the textbook depicts  the narrow mindset of the people.

In fact, the topics in the textbooks were suggested in lieu with the constitution. They respect the ideologies of secularism and socialism. Sadly, nothing seems to matter now.
