Today being the 15th day of the farmers’ agitation against the new Farm laws, farmer leaders have called for a strike on December 14 and said that all the national highways including Jaipur-Delhi and Agra-Delhi highways will be jammed.
The 6th round of talks to persuade the farmers also failed on Wednesday, even after the government was ready with a written document. The government had prepared a 22-page proposal, including changes in agricultural laws, and sent it to the farmers. The farmers out rightly rejected the proposal given by the government. The farmers instead said that the movement would be intensified now
The farmers said that all the national highways including Jaipur-Delhi and Agra-Delhi highways will be jammed. Farmers’ leaders have threatened to call for another nationwide strike on December 14.
Farmer leader Shiv Kumar Kakka terming the proposal of the government an insult. He said that if the three farm laws are not scrapped, the farmers will block all the roads leading to Delhi one by one.
Out of 10 important issues, the government rejected the biggest demand of the farmers. The farmers are demanding the repeal of the Agricultural Law. The Government said that it will give clarification on 5 issues and assured to change the existing system on 4 issues.
Meanwhile, another proposal of the government also is awaited.
