Goa Trinamool’s Chief, Kiran Kandolkar said that he was upset with I-PAC head Prashant Kishore and his team. Furthermore, he said that he was neither quitting the party nor as the chief of the party in Goa.

The Trinamool contested the Goa Assembly elections with the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak party (MGP). The polling was held on February 14. The counting of votes is scheduled on March 10.

According to the NDTV, Mr. Kandolkar said he was not quitting as TMC’s Goa unit Chief , but was upset with Mr. Prashant Kishore and his team.

Mr. Kandolkar and his wife Kavita contested from Aldona and Thivim seats respectively. They contested on Trinamool’s ticket.

However, there have been speculations since some time about a rift between the Trinamool and I-PAC (Indian_ Political Action Committee). This had helped the Mamata Banerjee-led party the West Bengal Assembly polls.

Kiran Kandolkar claimed that I-PAC abandoned the party candidates soon after the state Assembly polls held last week. Moreover, he said that the Trinamool candidates in Goa felt that they were abandoned by the I-PAC after the polls. “All candidates fielded by the TMC have some or the other issues with the I-PAC.

When the candidates told me about their issues with Prashant Kishor and his I-PAC team, I discussed the matter with my party workers, who advised me to quit as the TMC Goa president.”
