‘The Kashmir Files’ is Propaganda & Vulgar film, says IFFI jury head

Nadav Lapid, jury chairman of the International Competition section of IFFI(International Film Festival of India) shared his views on controversial movie and calls “The Kashmir Files” as propaganda and vulgar. All the right wing groups are tagging film director Vivek Agnihotri and Anupam Kher about their views and witty replies.

He commented that he felt “The Kashmir Files” movie is “propaganda”, “vulgar”. He also claimed that this “movie is inappropriate for artistic competitive section in prestigious film festival.

Nadav Lapid specially commented mainly on “The Kashmir Files” movie where all other 14 films were in the list. However, he said that he was “shocked” and “disturbed” by its inclusion. He also said “I feel totally comfortable to openly share these feelings here with you on this stage. In the spirit of this festival, can surely also accept a critical discussion, which is essential for art and life”

Recently 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was held in Goa and in the closing ceremony which was on Monday. The head of the Jury made this comments in this annual event. Many right wing groups are angry on his comments and many mentioned to boycott IFFI.
