Partnership with Prashant Kishor did not work out: Priyanka Gandhi

pk not joining the congress

Prashant Kishor joining Congress was the talk of the town few months ago. Firstly, they said it was all rumors, later they said that he had a series of meetings with the Gandhi trio.
However, all the doubts are cleared now as Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that

“PK” joining the Congress was real. However, she also said that “it did not work out.”

While talking to NDTV, the Congress leader quoted that the partnership fell due to “multiple reasons”

“I think it did not work out for multiple reasons. Some on his part, some on our part. I wouldn’t want to get into the details of that. Broadly, there was an inability to agree on certain issues, which sort of impeded the discussion from moving forward” Priyanka Gandhi said.

It is learnt that Prashant Kishor held several rounds of discussions with all three Gandhis’.

Supposedly, the strategist was about to join Congress last year. Speculations spread widely about his entry into the Congress. Imaginations ran wild when PK visited Rahul Gandhi at his house. Many thought that surely, PK was a part of Congress.

Suddenly, things were not going according to the speculations. The attacks by Prashant Kishor broke all speculations. He publicly said,

”it was not the divine right of any individual” to lead the Congress, “especially when the party has lost more than 90 per cent of the elections in the last 10 years.”
