On the occasion of Sixth State Formation Day Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has pays floral tributes to the Telangana martyrs memorial at Gun Park near Assembly here on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister arrived at Gun Park, which was well decorated with flowers at 8.30 am. He was accompanied by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.
After placing the wreath, the Chief Minister paid tributes to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for Statehood. He observed few minutes of silence.
Several TRS leaders, Mayor Bonthu Rammmohan also paid floral tributes at the Gun Park.
As suggested by the Chief Minister, the celebrations this year will be on low key this year due to corona-induced lockdown.
The Chief Minister has designated ministers and other dignitaries to hoist flags at their allotted district headquarters in a simple ceremony.
The Chief Minister hoisted the national flag at Pragathi Bhavan. Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014, after the bifurcation of AP.
