Shraddha murder case: Aftab Poonawala underwent a narco analysis test

Tihar jail administration has increased the security outside Aftab Amin Poonawala’s barrack. According to the jail authorities, a four-member Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team reached Tihar jail for the ‘Post-Narco Test Interview’.

Narco Analysis Test

Reportedly, after the narco analysis test of Aftab Poonawala, a four-member team is visiting the Central jail for conducting a ‘Post-Narco Test Interview’.

According to the Jail Authorities, an additional guard is deployed outside Aftab’s barrack. After the attack on the Jail Van ferrying Aftab outside the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Delhi’s Rohini.

Special Vigil

Aftab has been kept at Cell no 15 of Jail No 4 inside the Tihar Jail. A Delhi Court sentenced him to 13 days of judicial custody. Furthermore, it is informed that in view of the danger to Aftab inside the jail, “special vigil is being kept around his cell”.

One of the jail authorities informed that, Aftab is under watch always. Two under-trials accused in a theft case have been kept inside the same cell and have been asked to keep watch. However, Aftab isn’t talking too much with them.

Right wing attackers

Earlier, two men with swords, identified as Kuldeep Thakur and Nigam Gurjar, attacked the police van carrying Aftab Amin Poonawalla, outside the FSL office on Monday.

The police registered an FIR against the attackers under different Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Prashant Vihar Police Station.

Later, Members of a fringe outfit — Bhagwa Hindu Sena — on Sunday took out a march in Haridwar demanding that Aftab Amin Poonawala, be hanged.

Wrong Information

Aftab is accused of strangling to death his live-in partner Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator. Later, he dumped them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.

However, the Police claim that Aftab, confessed to killing Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces, but gave misleading answers to questions.
