The country has taken another major step towards an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, as this scheme helps in making rural India self-reliant.
SVAMITVA Scheme was launched on the National Panchayati Raj Day (24 April 2020). Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme is a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Panchayati Raj Departments, State Revenue Departments and Survey of India.
The main aim of the  Scheme is to provide an integrated property validation solution for rural India. The Programme was implemented in six states – Karnataka, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Physical Distribution Of Property on Sunday (11 October 2020) Under SVAMITVA Scheme Via Video conference. This scheme will help villagers to use the property as a financial asset for taking loans and other financial benefits.

The beneficiaries are from 763 villages across six States, including from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Karnataka.

PM Modi interacted with many beneficiaries of the Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme.

This is a historic move to transform rural villages.
