Hyderabad: Man kills live-in partner, stores chopped body parts in fridge

In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old man, Chandra Mohan from Hyderabad, allegedly kills live-in partner and cut the body into pieces. The accused cut the body into pieces with the help of a stone-cutting machine and stored the body parts in a refrigerator.

Later he threw head in the Musi and disposed them at different places. The accused, Chandra Mohan, was arrested on Wednesday by the Malakpet police.

The incident came to light on 17 May when the decapitated head was found in the Musi river bed. The police identified the victim as Yerram Anuradha Reddy. 

According to the police, The woman was separated from her husband long back. She lives with Chandra Mohan at his house in the Chaitanyapuri colony in Dilsukhnagar. 

What happened on that day

Accused Mohan took Rs.7 lakh from the victim and gave the money to different persons on interest. He got angry when Anuradha started asking about the amount. On 12 May, an argument started between them over the money. He attacked her with a knife and stab injuries over her chest and stomach, resulting in her death, said police.

After the murder, the accused purchased stone-cutting machines to cut the body into pieces and dispose of them. He cut the body into pieces and stored the hands and legs in a fridge. He beheaded the head from the trunk and kept it in a black polythene cover.  

On 15 May, Mohan took the head in a black polythene cover in an auto rickshaw to Musi River at Malakpet and threw the head. The accused brought Phenyl, Dettol, Perfume Agarbatti, Karpuram and perfume spray bottles. He regularly applied them over the body parts to avoid spreading bad smells from the body. 

Police also said, The accused Mohan also used the victim’s cell phone and sent messages to her known persons. To make believe that she was alive and staying somewhere. 

Malakpet police had registered a case and formed eight teams to crack the case. A ns arrested the accused. Police recovered the victim’s body parts from his house and sent them for autopsy.
