On Tuesday, a Delhi court awarded life imprisonment to Ravinder Kumar, a serial killer who raped and murdered 30 minor children. Between 2008 and 2015, he is accused of kidnapping and murdering approximately 30 children.
After six years of committing horrible crimes and an eight-year trial, he was convicted on Saturday by a Delhi court. He confessed to being guilty of crimes committed in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh between 2008 and 2015.
The court also ordered the District Legal Services Authority to compensate the victim’s family Rs. 15 lakhs.
According to Hindustan Times, Ravinder Kumar was first arrested in 2015. At the time, the police were only looking into the disappearance of a six-year-old child from her home in Begumpur. Ravinder’s arrest in Kanjhawala led to the discovery of the girl’s body and a confession that he raped her before strangling her to death.
During interrogation, Ravinder revealed a series of shocking findings that shocked the city’s police force. Furthermore, he said he had raped or murdered at least 36 children between 2007, when he was 17 and 2015.
