DAV School rape case: Hyderabad court on Tuesday sentenced Rajani Kumar a driver of DAV Public to 20 years jail imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 4 year-old- girl.
According to The Sissat Daily, Beemana Rajani Kumar (34) was found guilty and sentenced by the court. However, it acquited school principal S. Madhavi.
Kumar was arrested on October 19, last year for sexually assaulting the LKG student. The event was brought to light after the victim’s parents noted behavioural changes in her.
When asked, the child revealed that the driver, Kumar had been sexually abusing her for the last three months. He used to take her from classroom to digital classroom. The accused led her to an interior room of the school, stripped her naked, and sexually assaulted her.
The driver was charged with violating sections 376 a and b of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 6 read with 5 m of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
