The woman BJP leader was allegedly killed, and her body was dumped near Highway in Goalpara’s Assam. The victim was identified as Jonali Nath; she is working as district general secretary for the BJP in Goalpara.
On Sunday, VV Rakesh Reddy, Superintendent of Police of Goalpara district, told ANI over the phone that the dead body was recovered near National Highway in the Krishnai area. Police sent the body for post-mortem to the district civil hospital.

The police are currently conducting further investigations into the case.
