In the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, four students from a private engineering college in Bhimavaram were arrested. A video of SRKR college student, Bhimavaram beaten inside a private hostel room by fellow students while the victim pleading to be spared shook the internet and went viral all over the media.
The victim has been admitted in the hospital with injuries and burns all over his body.
According to NDTV, Ankit, the victim and all of the accused are computer science students at the SRKR Engineering College, and the incident reportedly occurred a few days ago. According to the Principal and the college management, the students were staying in a private hostel.
The victim is shown pleading and apologising while the attackers continue to strike him with sticks. His shirt appears to be ripped. The four culprits used iron box and also beat him with sticks and PVC pipes for unknown reasons.
