Rahul Gandhi Bharat Jodo yatra reached Delhi on 24 December. The yatra, which is on halt for 9 days will resume from Delhi’s Yamuna Bazar on January 3, 2023.
After covering the yatra for a distance of 2,800km, Bharat Jodo yatra will resume on 3 January morning from the Hanuman mandir, Yamuna Bazaar and head towards Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Bharat Jodo yatra will pass through the areas where riots took place in February 2020. March will pass through Maujpur, Seelampur and Gokulpuri with his convoy in North-East areas of Delhi. March will move towards Uttar Pradesh from the Loni border.
According to sources, Delhi congress leaders had several meetings with Delhi police officials ahead of the resumption of the yatra. The meeting was held at headquarters of the Congress party, on Friday afternoon. It was attended by senior officers of the Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) and district deputy commissioners of Delhi.
