On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra resumes from Malab village in Nuh, Haryana. Senior leaders including Bhupinder Singh Hooda,  Randeep Singh Surjewala, Kumari Selja, Karan Singh Dalal and many others joined Rahul Gandhi in the March. Rahul Gandhi was Clad in a T-shirt and a pair of trousers.  Several others Congress leaders from Nuh district joined the march.

On Wednesday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya wrote to Gandhi to suspend the Yatra in the nation’s interest, if the COVID protocol is not followed during the bharat jodo yatra. COVID-19 guidelines must be strictly followed during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The use of masks-sanitizer should be compulsory and only vaccinated people participate in the Yatra. And whoever is joining the march must be quarantined before and after taking part in the Yatra,” Mandaviya said.

According to sources, he further suggested, “If following COVID-19 protocol is not possible then the Bharat Jodo Yatra should be postponed in the national interest, taking note of the public health emergency.”
