Does Corona differentiate between a Hindu and a Muslim?

The truth in India is that the rules or reservations for a minority community is not similar to that of the majority community.

Corona pandemic treats everyone equally, be it a Hindu or a Muslim. However, it is a boon to everyone. Wondering how? It is revealing the truth of India.

The truth in India is that the rules or reservations for a minority community is not similar to that of the majority community. It is clearly the double standards of the government and the Media.

Tablighi Jamaat

“Malice is what the minority community receive when they have their religious practices. Especially, during the pandemic.  They are ill treated and punished as anti-nationals and put behind the bars. malice.

Last year, during this time the participants of Tablighi Jamaat were called Jihadis. They were abused to be super spreaders of the coronavirus in India. (not to forget the visit of Trump).

In March, last year, around 3000 Muslims, including foreign nationals congregated at the Markaz in Delhi’s Nizamuddin.

The irony is that the Government of India gave the permission to attend the Tablighi Jamaat. Despite the permissions, these people suffered a lot.

Sikhs

protested against the farm laws. For which they hoisted the ‘Nishan Saheb’ flag at the Red Fort on 26 January. A selected group of people hoisted the flag and created ruckus.
However, this kind of protest should be condemned. Very soon the farmers were branded as ‘Khalistani terrorists’. The media introduced them as people who want to divide India and form a new state for Sikhs.

Christians

In India, Christians are called as ‘rice bags’. The attacks on Christians is on the pretext of conversion into their religion. In fact, Christian missionaries reach out to the tribes and help them.

They try to give the tribes a better life, which no government tried till date.
It is appalling to see that Crime against Christians increased by 40.87 percent during the pandemic. People need to understand and know that our constitution guarantees the right to worship or follow any religion.

Kumbh Mela

Now came the second wave of the pandemic. The cases are increasing faster than before. Tragically, the Maha Kumbh Mela is in its full glory. It comes in every 12 years.

Lakhs of devotees thronged to the banks of river Ganga in good faith. Pragmatically, one can see an upsurge of one lakh forty-five thousand three hundred and eighty -four (1,44,384) COVID cases in a single day. The number of reported cases is not decreasing anytime.

Biased Government and Media

It is the responsibility of each and every citizen. But what is disheartening in the whole situation is the bias or disparity on the part of the government and the media. There is a great bias in reporting such religious gatherings.

In contrast to this, the minority religious gatherings are highlighted. Warnings are issued frequently to churches and mosques. They are told to close down as there is an upsurge in the Corona cases.

It is shocking to see the gathering in the temples, election rallies and in the Kumbh Mela. No one follows COVID protocols here.

The media made a great hue and cry during the Tablighi Jamaat, but now they are silent. On the contrary, the mindset of the people and the media is that any religious gatherings of a minority community poses a great threat.

Faith is the same

But the truth is that any religious practice is problematic during the pandemic. It poses danger to everyone. If people choose to break the COVID rules then they are insensitive.

Even after the death of 1.7 lakh deaths, neither the government nor the selected media is unapologetic. They term the minority gatherings as terrorism whereas the majority gatherings as faith.

This kind of disparity is not new in India. However, Corona pandemic helped people understand the double standards of the politicians who run the governments.
