Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his Bharat Jodo Yatra from J&K’s Banihal and reach Anantnag on January 27,” Congress Leader, Jairam Ramesh said on Friday. The yatra will enter Kashmir valley today.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah also joined Gandhi at Banihal.
From Banihal we will reach Srinagar, where Rahul Gandhi will address the media on January 29 in Srinagar. The next three days will be important as we are marching through Jammu, Jairam Ramesh said.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Kanyakumari on 7 September 2022 and will end in Srinagar on 30 January with the hoisting of the national flag at party headquarters in Srinagar & addressing a grand rally at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
The beauty of the plains of Jammu and Kashmir is as alive as the people here, whose lives it is our shared responsibility to give a safe tomorrow. With this aim and intention #BharatJodoYatra will leave from Ramban today and reach Anantnag. Stay connected, the journey of hope continues.
