West Bengal Elections, Phase 7 : Polling is underway in 34 assembly constituencies. There are 12,068 polling booths spread over 9 assembly constituencies.
Voting began in 34 assembly constituencies in the phase 7 of polling in West Bengal. Prime Minister Modi has urged the people to cast their vote compulsorily following COVID-19 rules.
Voting is being held in 12,068 polling stations spread across assembly constituencies. They are each in Murshirabad and Paschim Bhardhaman districts. Each in Dakshin Dhinajpur and Malda and 4 districts in Kolkata. Furthermore, the home ground Bhabanipur, of Mamata Banerjee also went to polls today amid the upsurge of the COVID-19 second wave.
A total of 268 candidates, including 27 women are going to test their fate today. 55.12% voter turnout is recorded so far.
