Heavy rains led to landslides & flash floods in Himachal Pradesh. At least 13 landslides & 9 flash floods reported in last 36 hours.
Several cars washed away in floods caused by heavy rainfall in the Kasol area of Kullu. NDRF team rescued civilians trapped in Beas River near Nagway Village in Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh yesterday.
On Monday, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of further downpours expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi, and neighbouring areas over the coming days.

According to Himachal Pradesh Minister Jagat Singh Negi, So far, more than 20 people have lost their lives majorly due to road accidents and similar reasons. The loss of lives due to landslides & flash floods is not as high. Over 1300 roads including major national highways, district and link roads in the state are affected. We are on high alert for the next two days, he says.
