Twitter Idle accounts to be removed, says Elon Musk

Twitter Inc’s CEO Elon Musk on Monday, May 9, tweeted that idle accounts for several years will be removed and due to which the number of followers on the microblogging site may decrease due to the removal of inactive accounts. He said this action is ‘important to free up abandoned handles’.

To one of the users, he replied to the tweet saying that ‘accounts will be archived’ with no other details.

Twitter to remove Idle accounts:

“We’re purging accounts that have had no activity at all for several years, so you will probably see follower count drop”
