Congress leader Rahul Gandhi left from his residence along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi to Surat. He is accompanied with Congress leaders and supporters. Rahul is going to Surat to appeal against his conviction and 2 year sentence in a defamation case.
Last week, a Surat Court had convicted him and gave him a 2 year sentence in a defamation case.
