State street announces expansion in Hyderabad, to create 5000 new jobs

On Tuesday, State Street Corporation, a global asset management company, announced its expansion in Hyderabad, creating 5,000 new jobs. The anticipated investment would significantly boost the state’s BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry, and Hyderabad will soon be home to State Street’s second-largest office after its Boston Headquarters.

According to the Twitter handle ‘Minister for IT, Industries, MA & UD, Telangana’ IT minister KT Rama Rao in his business tour, meet with the company’s team in Boston. The meeting was attended by Aunoy Banerjee, Executive Vice President and head of Corporate Services and Investments for State Street Corporation, along with Jacob Rosenfeld, Global Head of Tax, Senior Vice President at State Street, and Jeevan Ramapriya, Public Policy and Government Affairs.

Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Departments, Mr Jayesh Ranjan, Special Secretary, Investment Promotion & NRI Affairs, Mr E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and Chief Relations Officer, Mr Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri were present at the meeting.

The State Street team stated that the Hyderabad facility has grown in importance and that some of the global positions and heads for Accounting, HR Mobility, and other departments would be based there. The primary employment functions will be in the fields of asset management, custodian services, and fund management. Experts in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other cutting-edge technologies will work as software engineers and data scientists at the centre.
