Rishabh Pant, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman, was injured in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee while returning from Delhi to Uttarakhand.
According to Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar, Pant was driving his car when it caught fire after hitting the divider at the Narsan border. According to the Police in Uttarakhand, Pant stated he lost control of the car after falling asleep while driving. Rishabh Pant was driving alone at the time of the accident and broke a window to get out.
According to the recent reports, he was taken to the Max hospital in Rishikesh with injuries to his forehead, back and legs.
Rishabh’s car clashed with the railing and caught on fire, according to witnesses. The fire was kept under control with great difficulty. Rishabh Pant was taken to Saksham Hospital on Delhi Road, where he was severely injured in the accident.
Rishabh Pant was left out of India’s squads for both the One-Day International and T-20 International series against Sri Lanka. Pant was not injured, rested or dropped, according to the BCCI press release. The BCCI decided to rest the Delhi wicketkeeper ahead of the two-match Test series, so he did not play in the one-day internationals against Bangladesh.
