A flight carrying the first batch of 212 Indians from Israel lands in Delhi under Operation Ajay on Friday morning. During that time, Union Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar welcomed the Indians at the airport.
India on Wednesday launched Operation Ajay to bring back Indians from Israel. Because there is a conflict escalated with Israel against Hamas’s attack that started on Saturday. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar announced the launch of Operation Ajay to facilitate the return of those Indians who wish to come back home. As Israel has declared war against Hamas and set up a war cabinet while Hamas said it is ready for a long-drawn conflict.
According to the news source, Operation Ajay was launched by PM Narendra Modi to bring back around 18,000 Indians in Israel. Registration of Indians began on Thursday.
An Indian national who returned from Israel says, “The situation was very bad over there… EAM Minister Dr S Jaishankar and his team, especially the Embassy in Tel Aviv did a tremendous job. And we’re really very grateful to the Government in India.”
Indians are happy that they came to India from Israel.
