A major accident was averted at a temple festival on Tuesday in Karnataka where a temple chariot fell on devotees after one of its tires reportedly broke.
A large number of devotees gathered for the temple festival in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar district on the occasion of ‘Rathotsav’, which translates to chariot festival.
However, devotees had a narrow escape after a chariot fell down due to a broken wheel. The chariot was being carried by them during a festival at Veerabhadreshwara Temple in Channappanapura village in Chamarajanagar, yesterday.
