India’s first 3D printed post office inaugurated in Bengaluru

On Friday, Union Minister Ashvini Vaishnaw inaugurated India’s first ever 3D printed Post office in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

According to news reports, L&T Construction used 3D Concrete Printing Technology to complete the post office structure in Cambridge Layout, Halasuru.

Larsen and Toubro Construction constructed the new post office building in around 1000 square feet using 3D Concrete Printing Technology, and the structural design was approved by IIT Madras.

According to L&T, 3D concrete printing, an emerging technology, has the potential to transform construction practices by shortening the construction process and improving overall build quality.
