Hyderabad: ENT hospital in Koti is designated to be Nodal Centre for Black Fungus treatment. This decision is taken by the Telangana Government.
This hospital will treat patients suffering from Black Fungus. Patients can be admitted and treated in this hospital.
People suffering from COVID-19 will be treated in Gandhi Hospital. Mr. Ramesh Reddy, the Director of Medical Education said few cases of Black Fungus (Mucormycosis) are being reported post COVID-19 from various parts of Telangana.
Since many of these cases have complications related to Ear, Nose and Throat, these cases will be treated in ENT hospital, Koti.
Patients who need multi- disciplinary treatment will be referred to Gandhi Hospital”
Furthermore, he added that when there is a need of an Ophthalmologist, then the services of SG hospital will be used.
