Delhi High Court denies bail to Manish Sisodia in ED case

Delhi High Court, on Monday, denies bail to the AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the ED case. He was arrested for allegedly being involved in a money laundering case regarding alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy matter.

Furthermore, in connection with the Excise case, the Delhi High Court denied the bail pleas of Vijay Nair, ex-communication in charge of the Aam Aadmi Party, Abhishek Boinpally (Hyderabad Based Businessman), and Binoy Babu Binoy (manager of a liquor firm M/S Pernod Ricard).

According to Hindustan Times, The court noted that Sisodia did not meet the twin conditions for bail granted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. He was denied bail in the CBI case as well.

Delhi High Court dismissed the bail petition of Delhi Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in Enforcement Directorate (ED) case related to the Delhi Excise Policy matter.
