Hanuman Chalisa Vs Azaan: A BJP leader, Mohit Kamboj in Maharashtra offered to help buy the loudspeakers to play Hanuman Chalisa in public places. He made this offer to frame a campaign against the Azaan- the morning prayer by Muslims.
Moreover, this billionaire BJP leader tweeted, “Anyone who needs a loudspeaker to install it in a temple can ask us for free! All Hindus should have one voice! Jai shri Ram! Har Har Mahadev!”

One of the richest BJP leaders in Maharashtra, Mohit’s offer comes after there’s a clash between Hanuman Chalisa and Azaan.
Added to that, Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) and BJP intensified the campaign. They have called to ban loudspeakers playing the Azaan from mosques.

These campaigns are well timed by both the parties. The elections for India’s richest municpal body- the Brihanmumbai Municpal Corporation or BMC are ahead. MNS wants to be benefitted by this controversy. However, BJP wants to corner Shiv Sena as it is in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil of the NCP has criticized the latest provocation, saying the statements are just a part of the divisive politics.
