BJP MLA kuldeep sinhg sengar

Kuldeep Singh Sengar, the ousted BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh, and his brother have been convicted in the Unnao rape complainant father’s death. Senger and six others were held guilty by The Tis Hazari Court in Delhi. They were convicted under the charges guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder for the custodial death two years ago.

Charges

The 55-year-old man was arrested by the police on charges of having an altercation with Shashi Pratap Singh, who then called up Atul.  The woman’s father was taken to the police station and an FIR  was lodged against him after being beaten by the MLAs brother and others. He was tortured in the prison because the complainant tried to self-immolate herself in front of CM Yogi Adityanath’s residence seeking justice.

Judicial custody

The father of the complainant died in judicial custody due to alleged torture,  a day after her demand for justice .i.e on April 9,2018. Before he died, he gave his final statement that Atul Senger, the brother of the BJP MLA tortured convicted him in the jail. Three policemen helped him. soon after the death of the complainant’s father, charges  were framed against Sengar, his brother Atul, the Makhi police station in-charge, sub-inspector Kamta Prasad, Constable Amir Khan, and six others.

Judicial System

Ironically, the district judge Dharmesh Sharma said that kuldeep singh Sengar didn’t have any intention to kill the complainant’s father, despite receiving the postmortem reports revealing horrific custodial torture. He said that “He was beaten brutally which led to his death,” the judge said. It shows the pathetic situation of the system.

Threats and attacks

The former BJP MLA ,Sengar Convited in rape case is already serving jail for the “remainder of his natural biological life” in 2017 when she was a minor. This BJP strongman also tried to murder the rape complainant. He tried to kill her when she was travelling with some family members and her lawyer in a car. A truck rammed into the car in which her two aunts died in the incident. She was airlifted from a hospital in Lucknow and to AIIMS in Delhi. The family had alleged that kuldeep singh Sengar had convicted threatened to eliminate them and also tried different ways and means to kill them if they went ahead with the case.

Blessed by BJP

BJP was accused of trying to shield the 53-year-old four-time MLA after the case surfaced. After facing massive public and political outrage, the BJP finally suspended the MLA and later expelled him from the party only in August 2019. Though he was expelled he allegedly enjoys the party’s backing.  The Present Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj visits him in jail to thank BJP MLA Sengar for his support in the election. Another BJP MLA Ashish Singh Ashu, openly supports him and hopes that Senger will come out soon and that he was in the jail just because he is going through tough times in his life.
