Aadhaar Card New Rules: Giving Xerox of Aadhaar Card? Govt warns of caution

New guidelines are issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to update the Aadhaar card. The good news is that you no longer need supporting documents to update your Aadhaar card now. As known to all of us, Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number that serves as the primary identification system in India.

Now a days Aadhaar card is mandatory for various schemes, works and all official work also. The photocopy of Aadhaar card is collected in anywhere from xerox centres. This information is very important for people who submit the photocopies of the Aadhar card. 

The Central government has issued important orders regarding the new Aadhaar card rules. According to this new suggestion, the government has asked not to deposit the photocopy of Aadhaar card anywhere.

Moreover, the government has issued these orders to prevent the misuse of Aadhaar card. In addition to this, the Government has suggested that masked photocopy of Aadhaar card should be given wherever the photocopy of Aadhaar card is essential.

Furthermore, the central government issued orders in this regard on Sunday. Above all, the The central government insists that the photocopy of your Aadhaar card should not be given to any person or organization. However, the organizations licensed by UIDAI can use Aadhaar card to access information about an individual.

According to the order issued by the Central Government, hotels, cinema halls or other private institutions have no right to collect copies of Aadhaar cards from customers or individuals

Use Masked Aadhar card 

Central Government has appealed to use Masked Aadhar Card to avoid fraud through Aadhaar Card. “Masked Aadhar Card” shows last four digits of Aadhaar number. So chances of using your Aadhaar card to cheat someone is greatly reduced.

How to Download Masked Aadhar Card?

Your 12 digit number will not appear in Masked Aadhar Card. Instead only the last 4 digits will appear. “Masked Aadhar Card” can be downloaded from UIDAI’s website
Go to this link https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
1. Mention your Aadhaar number You will see the option Do you want Masked Aadhar Card, select it
2. Select download option and get copy of Aadhaar card with last four digits of Aadhaar number.
