A 36-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her live-in partner and cut into many pieces with a tree cutter on Mira Road, Mumbai. The 56-year-old Manoj Sahni accused was arrested on Wednesday evening while trying to escape from his rented apartment.
The police officers found only the leg of the victim, as Sahni had dismembered some parts of the body by cutting it into several pieces.
The incident came to light when Nayanagar police station received a call from residents of the building. They complained about a foul odour coming from the couple’s flat. A team of police rushed to the spot and broke open the house. Police found the victim’s body cut into several pieces, some missing or reportedly disposed of.
