UP: Election Commission of India Website hacked by an Youngster

A young man in his early twenties allegedly hacked into the ECI ( Election Commission of India) Website. Moreover, it is alleged that he made thousands of voter ID cards in his tiny computer shop.

This young man who hails from Saharanpur, owns a tiny computer shop in Saharanpur’s Nukad region.

Meanwhile, this man, Vipul Saini used to log into the ECI website with the same password which the ECI officials are using. However, ECI found something fishy and informed the investigative agencies.

The investigative agencies, found out Vipul’s whereabouts and informed the police. The Election Commission took action against the hacking and said that the data is safe as of now.

Vipul Saini is arrested by the Cyber crime branch and the Saharanpur Cyber crime branch jointly from Marchedi village on Thursday.

According to the police, Vipul Saini made lots of money which ran into lakhs of rupees in his account. However, there is no clarity about what he intended to do with the voter ID cards.

Vipul Saini completed his BCA from UP University recently. The police not only arrested him but also raided his shop. The police seized hard drives and computers from his shop.
