Hyderabad: In the aftermath of a horrific fire accident, Rs 1.65 crore worth of unaccounted cash was found at a senior official’s home on Saturday night. The incident took place in Regimental Bazaar in Secunderabad.
According to Gopalapuram Inspector Sai Eshwar Goud, a fire accident was reported in Srinivas’s house who works as a DGM with a private company a resident of Regimental Bazaar.
Police said that old furniture and some trash dumped on the ground floor caught fire. Before the fire could spread, we called in the fire department and fire fighters doused the flames.
While the Police were monitoring the fire fighters they received information about cash in the house including gold and silver. Immediately, the police went into the house and seized Rs. 1,64,46,000 cash kept in the house. The seized cash was shifted to the police station and tax officials were informed about it.
