Ukraine receives help from different Nations, Interesting Facts

Many countries across the world, including the Europeans nations extended their support to Ukraine. They are trying to give assistance to Ukraine to defend itself from the Russian attack.

Many countries have issued strict sanctions against Moscow. Apart from this, many countries are sending weapons and finance to Ukraine.

According to Times Now reports, these countries are helping Ukraine defend itself:

USA helping Ukraine

US is sending military aid worth $350 million to Kyiv. This aid includes anti-armor, small arms, various munitions, body armor and related equipment. US has been sending security assistance to Ukraine since last year. Hence the total US assistance for Ukraine comes to $1 billion.

It also announced $54 million in humanitarian aid for Ukraine to be spent through NGO’s

Germany sent Anti-Tank Weapons to Ukraine

Germany sent 1,000 anti-tank weapons, 500 “stinger” surface-to-air missiles, 400 rocket-propelled grenades, and nine howitzers. It is also donating 14 armored vehicles and 10,000 tons of fuel to Ukraine.

Sweden help to Ukraine

Sweden is sending Ukraine anti-tank weapons, helmets and body armour. Apart from the arms, the aid includes 1,35,000 field rations, 5,000 helmets, 5,000 body shields and 5,000 ‘Bofors AT-4’ anti-tank weapons.

Czech republic

Prague is sending 4,000 mortars as as an arsenal of 30,000 pistols, 7000 assault rifles, 3,000 machine guns as well as scores of sniper rifles and a million bullets.

Portugal supporting Ukraine

Portugal is giving Ukraine night vision goggles, bullet proof vest, helmets, grenades, ammunition, and automatic G3 rifles.

Netherlands

The Dutch is sending “200 stinger missiles as soon as possible”, after a shipment on Saturday of sniper rifles and helmets.

It is also sending 20 million euros($22million) of humanitarian aid .

Belgium Promise to help Ukraine

Belgium has promised to supply Ukraine with 3,000 more automatic rifles and 200 anti-tank weapons, as well as 3,800 tons of fuel.

Romania

Romania, which is a neighboring country to Ukraine offered to treat the wounded in its 11 military hospitals as well as send fuel, bullet proof vests, helmets and other” military materials” worth three million euros ($3.3million)

France

France sent defensive anti-aircraft and digital weapons. It is about to dispatch more military equipment and fuel.

Greece

Greece is sending defence equipment and humanitarian aid.

Italy

Rome sent 110 million euros ($123 million) in immediate aid to Ukraine.

Canada

Canada is sending lethal military weaponry to Ukraine and loaning Kyiv half a billion Canadian dollars ( $394 million) to help it defend itself.

Spain

Madrid has promised to send 20 tons of aid to Ukraine, mostly medical and defensive equipment such as bulletproof vests.
