A tragic car accident happened on the Mumbai-Pune highway yesterday night killed five persons and injured four more. The car rammed into a truck from behind on Mumbai-Pune expressway.
The accident happened near Khopal, Raigad district of Maharashtra. The injured persons were admitted to the MGM Hospital in Kamothe for further treatment.
According to media reports, 9 people were travelling from Pune to Mumbai in an Ertiga car. Around 11:30 pm the car rammed into the truck from behind. Four people died on the spot in this massive car collision and one died with injuries all over the body. However, he succumbed while taking him to the hospital. The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to a preliminary probe, the driver lost control and rammed into the truck. A case was registered against the driver and investigation is in the process.
