According to PTI, explosives were recovered from BJP leader Bernard Marak’s farmhouse. Earlier, he was arrested for running a brothel in his farmhouse. The police found 35 gelatin sticks, 100 detonators, four cross-bows and 15 arrows.

BJP Meghalaya Vice-President Bernanrd N ‘Rimpu’ Marak was running a brothel in his farm house. This came to light during a raid on a property belonging to him. According to various sources, police found six minors locked in ‘dingy’ rooms, illicit liquor, condoms and contraceptives.

According to Wire, six children were rescued and 73 people were arrested from a ‘brothel’ run in a farm house. Moreover, this was allegedly run by the BJP leader.

Rimpu Bagan is a militant-turned-politician. On the basis of a tip-off, the police raided his farmhouse. Vivekananda Singh, the Superintendent of police told PTI, We have rescued six minors – four boys and two girls – who were found locked inside dingy cabin-like unhygienic rooms at Rimpu Bagan, run by Bernard N. Marak and his accomplices as a brothel, for the purpose of prostitution.”

Later on, all the children were handed over to District Child protection Officer(DCPO). In the raid, 27 vehicles, eight two-wheelers, about 400 bottles of liquor, over 500 unused condoms, and crossbows and arrows were seized.

According to the Hindu, couples were found in compromising positions, when the farmhouse was raided.

However, talking to NDTV, Rimpu said, that mature people ‘partying’ cannot be termed as prostitution. Surprisingly, the BJP leader evaded arrest and absconded from the farmhouse.

Finally, the Meghalaya police approached the Delhi police to help them find the BJP leader. However, he was arrested in Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
