Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut commented on BSP and AIMIM leaders after BJP’s record win in the Assembly elections results in Uttar Pradesh.
He targeted BSP leader Mayawati and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He said they should be awarded a Padma Vibhushan or Bharat Ratna for their ‘contribution’ in BJP’s victory.
BJP achieved a great victory. UP was their state, still, Akhilesh Yadav increased his seats by 3 times. Samajwadi Party seats increased from 42 to 125 seats. Mayawati and Owaisi have contributed to BJP’s win, so they must be given Padma Vibhushan, Bharat Ratna,”
Mr. Sanjay Raut commented this while speaking to the News Agency ANI. He said that despite BJP’s win in four states, its chief minister in Uttarakhand lost. Two deputy Chief ministers in Goa also lost. Above all, the people of Punjab ‘completely rejected’ the BJP.
“The PM, Home Minister, Defence Minister, everyone campaigned tremendously in Punjab, then why did you lose in Punjab? UP, Uttarakhand, Goa were already yours, which is fine. But you have lost more in Punjab as compared to Congress and Shiv Sena,” said Raut.
The opposition accused the BSP and AIMIM of being “B” teams of the BJP to divide anti-BJP votes. However, both the parties have repeatedly denied such allegations.
