Lockdown extended in Telangana State til April 30

Chief Minister KCR-Services allowed during Lock down

 The lockdown extended in Telangana will continue until April 30. The Chief Minister, Mr. K Chandra Shekhar Rao announced this while speaking at a press conference at Pragati Bhavan. He sincerely thanked all the people of Telangana for being very supportive. After April 30, if the conditions improve, the lockdown would be lifted in phases.

The government has issued instructions to the officials to promote all the students from classes 1st to 9th standard to their respective higher classes without conducting exams. The CM urged that the parents of the students need not worry about this and decision on the 10th class exams would be taken soon.

He said that there are 243 containment zones in the state, 123 in GHMC and 103 containment zones in other areas and urge the public to cooperate in the containment areas. He also informed that security will be strictly enforced and lockdown was extended in telangana till April 30.

CM made key suggestions on behalf of the state government to Prime Minister Modi at the video conference.

  • Implement QR policy.
  • Helicopter money funded to the states.
  • Requested for a six-month deferral of the state’s debts.

Chief Minister said that he is very concerned about the problems related to agriculture and directed the irrigation department for the allocation of water to the farmers till April 15. He has promised that every seed harvested of paddy, Corn and Cotton would be bought by the state government.

He has given necessary instructions for the functioning of the food processing units. In containment areas goods would deliver at door.

KCR warned that he would take strict action and not hesitate to register cases under the PDAC if the essential commodities were degraded.
