After the shocking incident of sexual assault came to light in Hyderabad yesterday, Padma Shree awardee and Prajwala founder Sunitha Krishnan suggested for A Sex Offenders Register similar to that of the US. She tagged KTR through her Twitter post. Later, Telangana IT Minister KTR responded immediately and agrees to the Sex offenders Register for the state of Telangana.

KTR response on Sex Offenders Register
Telangana IT Minister, KTR responded immediately, agreeing to the idea.

However, Sunitha Krishnan is said to have replied to send the concept note to the Minister’s office before the end of the day.
Moreover, it is not clear yet whether the register would have names of people accused of sexual offences or those convicted.
Subsequently, people raised doubts and concerns in reply to her tweet.
