IT officials conducted raids on the properties of Telangana minister of labor and employment Ch Malla Reddy, his son and son in law’s educational institutions in Hyderabad.
About 50 teams from the tax evasion wing of the IT department began the searches early Tuesday morning. The search continued in Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts and also on palm Meadows villas at Kompally.
The officials also searched the residence and offices of Malla Reddy’s son Mahendra reddy and son-in-law Rajasekhar Reddy.
Malla Reddy is an intermediate pass out. But has been running several educational institutions in his name initially and now in the name of family members.
IT investigators are also looking into the real estate land and property purchases of Malla Reddy and his family members made in the past three years.
The searches are also part of a series of investigations launched against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders.
