Hyderabad: Under construction Flyover Collapses in LB Nagar, 8 injured

In a bizarre incident, an under-construction Flyover collapsed at Bairamalguda in the L B Nagar area of Hyderabad in the early hours of today. The Incident occurred around the early hours on June 21. Around 8 construction workers of UP, Bihar suffered injuries, 4 of them critical. The injured were shifted to the nearest hospital.

GHMC and NDRF teams arrived at the incident site and started rescue operations. The injured were shifted to the KIMS hospital for treatment in NDRF vehicles.

As per news reports, the flyover is part of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) being implemented by GHMC. In a freak accident, slabs of the flyover under construction in Bairamalguda collapsed a few hours ago, severely injuring a couple of workers.

The injured workers were identified as Rohit Kumar (25), Puneeth Kumar (25), Shankar Lal (25), Ravi Kumar (26) belonging to Uttar Pradesh and Jitender Kumar (26), Hareram (22), Vicky Kumar (23) from Bihar. The engineer Gopala Krishna 29, hailing from Ranga Reddy district, was also among the injured.

Flyover slab in LB Nagar, Hyderabad:

Telangana: A Flyover slab collapsed in the LB Nagar area of Hyderabad. 8 people were injured. The injured were taken to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. Two persons sustained head injuries. A case is registered under section 337: Anji Reddy, SHO LB Nagar.
