Hyderabad: A 17-year-old intermediate student dies by hanging self in the college hostel on Friday.

According to News Meter, the victim is from Siddipet district. Last month he joined the college hostel. He completed his Intermediate first year at another college. For 2nd year he joined Narayana Pranavi College in Madhapur.

The police reached the spot after college management informed them about the incident. The student identified as G. Kanaka Raju is a native of Andhra Pradesh. On Friday evening at around 4.30 p.m., he stayed back in his room, when all the other students were in the common hall for study hour. He hanged himself in the hostel room, said the police.
Police also informed that they did not find any suicide note, hence the reason behind his death is yet to be known.

The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination and informed his family. The incident was reported to the Madhapur Police Station under the Cyberabad Commissionerate.

A case was registered and further investigations are going on.
